1959 Sheraton Dallas Texas Hotel London Club Silver Change Tip Tray Reed Barton Charter Member Vintage
Up for sale is an authentic piece of mid-century Dallas hospitality history.
This is a commercial-grade silver-plated change tray manufactured by Reed & Barton (Pattern WS7843) for the grand opening of the iconic Sheraton-Dallas Hotel in April 1959.
Special Features: This tray is uniquely custom-stamped on the front: "Charter Member London Club Sheraton Hotel Dallas 1959." The London Club was the exclusive, private penthouse-style lounge inside the landmark Southland Center complex.
Condition: The tray is structurally excellent with NO dents and lays completely flat. The engraving remains incredibly sharp and legible. True to its age and honest commercial use, there are multiplescratches and one spot of silver plating loss (approx. 0.5" x 0.25") on the surface where the base metal peeks through, giving it a great vintage patina.
